Selected stores can collect your preloved furniture from your home or office free of charge, at a time and date to suit you - simply find your nearest participating store for more information today. We Collect Your Furniture!

Furniture Collection

Our furniture collection service is now available in selected stores across the UK, we accept a range of large furniture items with collection from your home or business at a time that is convenient for you. Simply call your nearest participating store for more information and arrange a collection today. Every item you donate to Barnardo's helps fund our vital work with the UK's most vulnerable children, young people and families.

What you can donate to our charity shops

We can collect any good quality large furniture items you have free of charge from selected stores only, for smaller items please call your local store for more information.

  • Sofas and armchairs (must have fire safety labels attached)
  • Living room furniture such as coffee tables, TV units and bookcases
  • Electrical Appliances in good working order (excluding white goods)
  • Dining tables and chairs
  • Bedroom furniture such as wardrobes and sidetables
  • Bed Frames (excluding mattresses)
  • Large Soft Furnishings (must have fire safety labels attached)
  • Garden Furniture

Furniture We Cannot Accept

We are unable to accept the following items in store.

  • Damaged or faulty items
  • White Goods such as washing machines or fridge freezers
  • Microwaves
  • Electrical pressure cookers
  • Coffee grinders and food processors
  • Mattresses including cot mattresses
  • Duvets and pillows (unless brand new in packaging)
  • Electric blankets and heaters
  • Lawnmowers and Strimmers
  • Baby bouncers and baby walkers
