The HOTBIN Garden Composter is no ordinary compost bin. It HOT composts all year to recycle your food and garden waste into rich compost fast. Expect compost every 90 days without forking, tumbling, undue odour or flies.

Household Size - Designed for an average 3-5 person household with a small/medium garden.
The innovative design and insulating nature of the material keeps the HOTBIN HOT, creating a natural environment which quickly digests the contents, making HOT composting easy - all without having to add any composting accelerators or activators!
HOTBIN 200 litre features a much-requested leachate collection system. The leachate that is naturally created as part of the HOTBIN composting process has now been capped to prevent the liquid continually seeping from the aeration mesh and allowing you to tap it off and collect the free leachate liquid fertiliser as and when required.

HOTBIN reduces the amount of waste sent to landfill by composting more types of food waste.

Homeless Outreach Teams

Homeless Outreach Teams

Helping teenagers & young adults find a place to live…

Housing is a basic human right, yet thousands of children and young people are homeless, or facing homelessness in Britain today.

We work with young people who are homeless and those living in places that aren't safe or don't have a proper tenancy. We help them get somewhere to live that's right for them, and we support them in their tenancies.

Our outreach teams on the streets actively look for homeless young people. We provide a friendly ear as well as referring them to the right people and organisations who can help them

We also carry out preventative work against homelessness with children and young people leaving the care system, to help set them up in supported lodgings in safe family homes where they can learn skills ranging from learning to cook and complete housework, to finding further education and training.

“If I hadn’t come to Barnardo’s, I think I would still be homeless today. Barnardo’s has really changed my life. There was a time when I didn’t feel things could get better. The workers at Barnardo’s believed in me and helped me to see that things would improve and with the right support, I could make something of my life. They helped me to get back on my feet and see a way forward.” - Aamira, young homeless person.

Aamira is now studying sciences at university and volunteers for the Barnardo’s service that supported her. She is also an ambassador for young people’s mental health services within the NHS and a hospital volunteer.

All purchases made from Barnardo’s online shop directly funds our frontline services helping children and young people.
