Are you a fashion student or recent graduate with a passion for sustainability and style? Singer has teamed up with Barnardo’s to bring you an incredible opportunity, the 2025 Sustainable Sewing Challenge! Here’s why you’ll want to get involved:

What’s the Challenge?

Design and sew an upcycled garment, putting sustainability at its heart.

Who can get involved?

It’s open to fashion students and recent graduates looking to make a statement through their creativity

What’s at Stake?

• The top three designers will be invited to a VIP reception hosted by Patrick Grant, judge of The Great British Sewing Bee, where their creations will be showcased.
• Each winner receives a Singer Heavy Duty 4423 sewing machine, an ideal companion for future sustainable fashion projects.

Why Barnardo’s?

Every garment submitted will find a new home and a loving owner because ALL entries will be donated to Barnardo’s. Whether in charity shops or online, these upcycled garments will help raise vital funds.
